Costs for Records

Under O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71, reasonable fees may apply for search, retrieval, review, and copying of records:

Search, Retrieval, and Supervision Fees: Charged at the hourly wage of the lowest-paid qualified employee. The first 15 minutes are free.
Copying Fees: $0.10 per page for standard 8.5” x 11” copies.
Electronic Media Costs: Charged at the actual cost of producing the records (e.g., USB drives or CDs).
Redaction Costs: Fees may be charged for time spent redacting exempt information as required by law.

If the estimated cost exceeds $25.00, you will be notified in writing and asked to approve the cost before processing begins.
Payment must be received before the records are released.
